Help to Buy
The new ‘Help to Buy – Wales’ scheme which was launched in Wales this January is now available on Gwel Y Castell!
The properties at Gwel Y Castell have been created with our buyers’ needs at the forefront of our minds. The scheme makes new-build homes available to all home buyers and we have even included several properties that are ideal for first time buyers to assist in their initial step on to the property ladder.
SO HOW DOES IT WORK?
The ‘Help to Buy -Wales’ scheme means you can move into your brand new home with only having to contribute a 5% deposit. The house must be a new build which makes the properties at Gwel Y Castell perfect. Our properties are environmentally friendly new builds.
If you have a 5% deposit and meet the required criteria, the Government can offer equity loans of up to 20% of the purchase price of your chosen property.
To be eligible for this scheme you must have a minimum of a 5% deposit, the maximum purchase price of the property is £300,000. The property to be purchased must be your only residence and you may not own another property when you purchase under the ‘Help to Buy – Wales’ scheme.
The first five years of the equity loan is charge free aside from a £1 monthly admin fee which is payable until the loan is repaid. From the sixth year you will pay interest of 1.75%, rising annually by the increase (if any) in the Retail Price Index (RPI) plus 1%.
