The Development

Gwel Y Castell is a large eleven acre site and is planned in 3 phases with the majority having castle and mountain views South to the Conwy Valley, Great Orme and Marl Hall Woods.

The initial engineering work for the service drains and road will take us to the middle of May at which time the first houses will begin construction with 5x3bed detached, 3×4 bed detached, 4, 3 bed split level and 4×2 bed semi detached bungalows.

These homes together with a Show Home will be ready for occupation at the end of November.

There will be cycle and footpath links throughout and this is the first of its type in the Conwy borough built and finished to the 2011 highest sustainable build code.

For example:

  1. Data network points in principle forms
  2. Surround-sound cabling

  4. Water recycling
  5. Reduced and renewable energy devices (lower fuel bill)
  6. Extra energy efficient boilers
  7. Substantial enhancement to local ecology
  8. Water conservation
  9. Responsible sourcing and recycling of all materials
  10. Extra waste storage
  11. Sound and thermal insulation requirements
  12. Public open space and woodland amenity
